As we get started today, I have been thinking about fresh starts in general. Do you like to wipe the slate clean occassionally and start fresh? (I do!) Do you have any personal rituals you go through when you start a new project or goal? Any advice for starting off on the right foot?

Well, I already had my first major victory in my dairy-free battle today! The ice cream shop down the street released their new fall flavors, and one of them is sweet potato based, and I haven't yet run down the street to eat a bucket of sweet potato ice cream! Great job, only 9.5 more days (and then potentially the rest of your life) without dairy, this is going well.
I love fresh starts! For a new writing project I start collecting information in a OneNote notebook. I almost like organizing the information as much as the actual writing.
Day 1 went well. I'm where I need to be on both projects-- new words written and a chapter edited for FCL, and I got my notebook set up for the new book.
