• Nooooooooooo. I'm not surprised, but I was hoping it'd stick around longer. If you guys are going to make a new community somewhere, I'll def be there! I'm going to try to keep in touch with you guys.

  • I spent my weekend trying to stay cool. I'm so not ready for summer now that our spring heat has finally arrived in full force lol. I mostly read, knit, and finished watching Queen of the South on Netflix. I did a few tarot readings (one for a friend and two for myself) and that was about it. Nothing eventful lol.

  • I'm interested in hearing how that goes! I know that a lot of my grandma's siblings used to use a homemade cannabis based topical cream to ease the pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis. It def has its legit medical uses, which is why I'm glad it's slowly being legalized across the states.

That's interesting! One of my friends uses rose water to deal with her inflamed skin.

  • Meloxicam and lot's of ice packs. Although, I've only been able to deal with it with ice lately because I had to stop taking Meloxicam for an oral surgery and again for a minor surgical procedure (hand nodule) since it's a blood thinner. I have like four ice packs in my freezer and they're always getting tons of use. One of my brothers had hernia surgery and we split my ice packs while he was in recovery so that he could manage his post-op inflammation. I was glad I have four because I was like I COME WITH ICE!!!

Do you deal with inflammation, and how do you manage it?

  • Nope! I'm not a candidate for surgery. I've also been told that I'm a difficult case because of the combination. People usually have just one thing. Then there's me, who has scoliosis, torn discs, bulging discs, and degenerative disc disease. I've literally been sent to all the specialists and physical therapy. It's a case of long-term pain management at this point, which sucks, but here we are <3

  • Oh man. My dad has Chronic Crohn's and he almost died when he was diagnosed. He's lucked out in the sense that it's based in his lower intestines rather than his upper, but both types are truly the pits.

    <3

  • Chronic pain thanks to my back. I've got torn discs, disc degeneration, and bulging discs.

  • I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about it! The book didn't touch on the depression aspect behind Hannah's suicide either. I have less bones to pick with the show than the book, but the book made me cry more. Be prepared!

  • Well, I read the book last year and the show stuck pretty close to it. That said, I've got mixed feelings because I thought the show was both good and okay all at the same time if that makes any sense. I think Clay did a lot of running around and finger pointing before listening to his own tape, which I still find it weird that he was on the tapes when he didn't do anything. I am disappointed that the show didn't touch on the depression aspect behind Hannah's suicide. I guess that as someone who studied psychology, I feel like the show and book missed digging more into mental health and how a person's daily environment affect each other. That said, I cried so much in both the show and the book.

  • Thank you so much! It's very relevant! <3

  • Hello! What should I expect coming my way over the next week, and how do you advise that I approach it?

  • That sounds like an interesting book! I'm pretty sure one of my friends would love it.

I'm currently reading The Borden Murders: Lizzie Borden and the Trial of the Century by Sarah Miller. Its sounds like Lizzie was not the person who killed her parents. The most damning evidence against her was her alibi because she had changed it, and one of her friends saying she saw Lizzie burning the dress she was wearing when she found her parents only to later say that she saw her tearing and not burning it.

  • You just reminded me about my snoozing knitting blog lol. It took a long break after I was banned from knitting for a while. I managed to injure myself knitting. Go me! XD I'll be updating regularly once my hand recoups from the minor procedure to remove the nodule from my hand. Anyhoo, I present my little knitting blog.

I also have my book review blog, if anyone is interested: Binding the Pages.

  • I love this show. I still need to watch the latest movie!

  • That's pretty interesting! I feel like this is one of those ~the future is here~ moments lol.

  • I think they're adorable! I've never had one and idk if I would ever get one, but one of my friends has the sweetest chihuahua I've ever met. So many people have dog-napped her (she's chipped) because she adorable and has such a good personality. I've been around chihuahuas for years and a lot of them tend to be a bit nippy. There's a breed and personality for everyone though.

  • Thank you so much! It's def relevant and useful <3 Have a good night!

  • Thank you for spending your time doing this every week! <3

I'm thinking about taking a little pet project of mine and pursuing it on a more serious level so that I don't feel completely useless. Do you have any advice on what I should expect as well as any warnings?

  • I finished watching it last week! I read the book last year, and had no idea that a series was coming our way until it hit Netflix. I liked the show, but I had much of the same bones to pick as I did in the book. The subject manner is very important, so problems aside, I'm glad the book and TV series is around.

I love that they expanded several of the characters that we only saw through Hannah and Clay's eyes in the book. We're able to see who they are and why they make the choices, good and bad, that they do. It's also important for people to see that people can seem okay on the outside and suffer on the inside, which is why so many people are shocked when someone who was so cheerful and full of life was drowning in depression and attempt or commit suicide.

I'm going to leave it at that for now before I word vomit at everyone about this show and book lol.

  • I've been using nail wraps since last summer and I've gotten pretty good at applying them. There's definitely a learning curve!

  • They're pretty! What brand are you using? I use Jamberry's because I like that they're heat activated so they don't go anywhere for two weeks. I've tried some other brands that were pretty, but they peeled off with in a day because they were like stickers.

  • Aw. They're so cute!

  • It's so pretty! Now I want all the mood changing polishes. I'm like, give me all the colors!

  • I def will! She's so cute too. She's everyone's bff. Whenever I come over, she pops out like MY BFF IS HERE. If she doesn't know you she pops out like A NEW FRIEND IS HERE.

  • That's a pretty good idea for now too. There are so many neat and pretty collars around. We had a collar for my cat that was cute and simple, but he hated wearing wearing a collar so it ended up just sitting around lol.

I need to take some pictures of my friends dog. She's this adorable little chihuahua with little tufts of long fur on her face that looks like an old man's eyebrows and beard lol.
