Awesome! If you do decide to take the plunge, let us know what services/device you picked. :)

I applied to both because I happen to have an iPhone, but if it's a 'one or the other' thing, I'm an Android user.

You make a really awesome point about digital services that I don't think is focused on enough: you can turn off the ones you don't need when there isn't something you care about.

In my case, Showtime is a good example. I love Episodes and Masters of Sex, but neither are on right now, so I don't need it.

One other cool point that people don't mention often is staggering payments. I set my subscriptions so that no more than two renew in the same seven-day period. It's nice because instead of having one big hit every month, it's like $15/wk.

What's the best way to get tv channels? HDTV antenna?

For over-the-air channels, that's a great option. However, there are a few services that offer more triditional channel viewing.

    • Sling TV
    • PlayStation VUE
    • And it's rumored Hulu might be launching such a service.

Also what's the best way to stream from computer to TV?

If you're just getting into streaming, the Chromecast is the simplest and cheapest way to get started. It supports almost all major TV, movie, music services.

For getting content from you computer onto your TV, Plex is an amazing app and it's free if you're just using it for casting stuff from your computer (but there are more advanced features they charge for.)

As for your HDMI limitation, Amazon has HDMI switchers with remotes for less then $10. While I've never tested and am not personally recommending this device, here's and example.

You should put Google Music on your list of options. It has also has a family plan, the app is wonderful and you get YT Red to boot. (Once you go YouTube with no comercials, it's really hard to go back.)

Does it send you a message when unbanned also? I thought it was neat that you can include a reason for it.
