I like Bendis-cyke more than most people seem to, and I wish we'd been able to see the next stage of that version's evolution.
To me, the most interesting part of the X men is its exploration of a Minority community and the challenges and issues that such a community faces.
In that sense, I don't think the X men has ever gotten to a point where an ending story would be interesting. I think there would have been some point after Morrison's run where it might have made sense to draw an end to it, but instead we got a reset with M-day. Bendis' arc was also putting X-men into a place that, while it wouldn't be the end, felt like a natural next step--and then we got the noodle incident.
Just waking up, browsing the internet while my boyfriend lies next to me watching youtube.
