• Tomb Raider and Dragon Age are my favorite series. If we're just talking about individual games, Saints Row IV and Mass Effect 2 would make an appearance as well.

  • Saints Row is so much fun! I picked up SR2 on during a PSN sale in 2012, and I was hooked after that. I did enjoy GTA3 and Vice City, but they series started to lose me a little when the stories became more "realistic." I love a good story and character development in some games, but in others, I just want to do awful, absurd things.

In terms of sheer fun, I think SR4 is my favorite, followed closely by SR3; SR4 is really just SR3 amped up with even more ridiculousness and SUPER POWERS. SR2 was a great introduction to the series and a worthwhile play, but in my opinion, I think you can kind of tell that they still weren't 100% sure what the series' overall tone should be. There's some heaviness to it that feels a little at odds with silliness.

  • Hello! I'm Ashley. I generally go for open-world, RPG, and action-adventure games with either a female protagonist or the ability to create my own female protagonist.

    My favorite series/games include:

    • Tomb Raider! (Huge, huge fan--I do have a TR comm if anyone wants to chat with me about it!)
    • Dragon Age
    • Mass Effect
    • Saints Row
    • Fallout (Recent titles)
    • Skyrim
    • Uncharted (Although I haven't played 4 yet)
    • I like checking out smaller/indie titles, too. ABZU and Dex are the most recent ones I've played.

I'm currently playing Skyrim--I've had the base game modded a lot for a while now, so playing the SE felt like a downgrade, but all the hype around it got me hyped again. I keep most of my RPG adventures and character development under my fereldanwench moniker at this blog.

  • Classic Lara (complete with the red sunglasses!) would be an absolute must for me, but I'd also love to see:

    • Classic Natla
    • Sophia Leigh
    • Legend Lara with the Union Jack top
    • Classic Lara with the bomber jacket
    • Lara in her Croft Manor sweats
  • Sure do, especially with the trend of having massive open world games. Sometimes I feel like I've experienced enough of the gameplay and/or story without needing to fully beat the game, in whatever capacity that might be (getting all the achievements, finishing all the side quests, finishing the main quest, etc).

  • I'm Ashley, the creator of this comm, and a long-time fan of the series! I didn't really get to play the games until a few years after the release of the original title, but I was hooked as soon as I got them. Bad ass female protag with incredibly beautiful, sprawling worlds to explore and engaging puzzles to solve? Yes, please.

The Game Boy title was actually the first TR game I played, followed by TRII. To this day, TRII has a soft spot in my heart, and as much as I love the newer iterations (Rise is truly phenomenal, in my opinion), I still say it's my favorite.

I've been very fortunate to have had a few opportunities to brush shoulders with the devs--In 2012, I was a community ambassador at E3. I also did some artwork for the 15 Year Celebration in 2011, and I'm beyond excited to say that I will be one of the fan artists published in the 20 Year Anniversary book coming out this fall.

I generally really like video games. In addition to Tomb Raider, I adore Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Saints Row. I've also had a lot of fun with Fallout and TES, and I like expanding my horizons and checking out indie games as often as possible. I'm currently playing ABZU.

I am new to Imzy, but I have moderated other communities before. I'm hoping this will end up a nice place for TR fans to come together and share their love of the franchise. ♥
