I loved Monkey Island and Indy, but my original point and clicker was Zac McKracken - I was probably a bit young to get all of the references (I'm 40 next year) but I saw it through to the end. I remember being particularly scared when the broom alien made an appearance and being quite frustrated with the jungle 'mazes'. I never got into Manic Mansion
Getting ready to play the DOTT re-release - possibly my favorite, and the first 'talkie' i played.
I use python to drive logic and send data into Unreal Engine projects. I started totally fresh with python about 2 years ago with some software which had a python shell exposed. It's pretty easy to learn I think as long as you've actually got a goal in mind (like almost anything i think). The great thing about python is that you can find the answer to almost anything just by asking the question in google. One of my first things I did with it was drive my software with a novation launchpad - someone had written a library and some sample code and I had it up and running in no time. Half the time i'm working in python i'm just doing constant google searches and hacking bits of people's code into my code. I think if you know the terminology of the problem you're facing you can get almost anything done.
Hey, this is my first imzy post - i'll make it an average one. I'm a frequent poster on the Unreal forums and i'll be interested in what sort of stuff goes on in here. I use UE to prototype gameshow ideas for my day job, but in my quiet time i've been building a roomspace vive ballistic attack/defence type game - like a worms/tanks type game but in 3d and with some other bells and whistles. I'll be looking for other vive owners who might be interested in playtesting a bit down the line if anyone's interested.
