Mild weather, southern/central California area. I'd prob prefer something with waist straps. I'm not sure about typical weights, but I'd say mid-weight? I'm a big guy and I can walk 5 city miles easy, with my college books. Not sure if that helps lol.
Thanks for the previous answer, I thought I could expand.
What would you recommend for the Big Four for a beginner that would like to carry a sleeping bag and tent with them?
Can you recommend a good budget hiking pack for a beginner? I'd probably be out 2 nights at a time at first.

Canter's Deli is a Jewish-style delicatessen, opened in 1931 in Boyle Heights, and later moved to the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, California, near the border of West Hollywood, where it is now. It has been frequented by many notable movie stars and celebrities. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canter%27s
