OMG Piscaria thank you so much for the invite, pardon me for taking so long to finally get the hell over here. XD
Name: Just call me Eglentyne. <3
Fandom Activities: Oh goodness... perhaps a little of everything? I'm best known for my fanfiction, but I'm also an artist and a cosplayer. I'd like to break into podfic more if I could make the time for it. You never know with me.
Elsewhere on the Web: oh goodness, follow my tumblr at http://eglentyne-mcqueen.tumblr.com/ I'm also listed on Ao3 and fanfiction.net as Eglentyne. I know, I can't let go of my ff.net account. I'm just too attached, not ready to let that shit die.
I am fresh and new to Imzy and I have yet to figure out how to navigate this site, so if I get around to actually doing anything of note here, I'll let you know. =D
Favorite character? You mean besides Sebastian and Ciel? Because I will never pick one over the other? Madam Red is an old-time love of mine. Beast speaks to me on a personal level. Sieglinde is saving the fandom. And Joanne Harcourt is my cinnamon roll. His recent re-introduction in the manga has brought me to hysterics. No exaggeration.
What do you love about Kuroshitsuji? Other than going hysterical over rampant fan service? I love how it continues to readdress the belief that evil is a man-made construct, that the greed and cruelty of people is far more malicious than the evil that exists in nature. Another reoccurring theme in each arc explores the power dynamics in a master/servant relationship, whether that be Sebastian and Ciel's or a foil to their dynamic in some other character grouping. How the story feels firmly couched in Victorian setting and yet simultaneously breaks away from anything resembling Victorian England. That's a comical and ingenious balance. Oh, and how this series just begs audience involvement. We are so free to just explore possibilities beyond canon material. There's a lot of creativity in this fandom.
Nice to make your acquaintance. bows
