Definitely need to focus on the most active stuff going on in the franchise: The BTTF comics. No one is talking about them!
Court of Owls.
I think the Rebirth book itself was weak. But it taken for what it really is, just a PREVIEW book or a Trailer for what's to come. Well it's definitely promising. I also don't like the Rebirth titles yet either as they seem to be more of the same preview stories. Superman Rebirth was hard to follow with all the references to New 52 Superman. I Don't remember Batman rebirth and didn't like Green Lanterns Rebirth. Green Arrow Rebirth felt right. Like they gave the character his soul back. We'll see how it goes. I'm excited for what's to come. I'm trying to remain optimistic. Because I miss DC.
When I was a kid I would say, take me to the year 2000 I want to see the future. LOL Now as an adult I know to see the future as we dreamed of we may have to go so far into the future that we risk an atomic fallout, infectious disease, or some environmental change that blindly going into the future might not be wise.
And all the eras of the past that have been romanticized are just that. Fiction and romance and are rife with danger.
I might however want to go back to my immediate past. To see the eras I grew up in, 70s, 80s and 90s and experience them as an adult. Maybe pay attention to this that didn't matter to a kid. See the bands I never got to see. Be present at events that I didn't think mattered at the time. And like Marty did, see my parents when they were younger, before life got the better of them.
This is great. Big fan of wrestling and Andre. You can tell he really is happy at that Happiest Place on Earth.
I flip flop back and forth. Especially after the abysmal Batman v Superman. I'm just not feeling Will Smith as Deadshot yet. But I'm still hopeful.
This was just announced that its happening.
Besides the ones mentioned already I'm gonna go with:
Death in The Family. A Lonely Place of Dying Hush And recently A court of owls.
I didn't like the haha elements too much. But I enjoyed the film. I hate Hal Jordan anyways, he's just so dull. So I understand why they tried to lively it up.
Superman 2, not the Donner cut is one of my favorites. Followed by Batman 1989.
I thought Batman vs Superman was just a poor film. It didn't really know what it was trying to say as a film. The bright spots were Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, as Diana Prince it wasn't that interesting, but it's not a great identity in the comics either. Affleck was a good Batman. And I'm probably the only person who likes Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor.
That one backfires on me when I use it on my kids. "It comes from upbringing his parents are probably idiots, too"
Also can't tell you how many times I've been able to use the "now we can watch Jackie Gleason while we eat "in context. Favorite time was eating a slice of pizza in front of a Ralph Kramden statue at the NYC Port Authority.
Goldie Wilson and Sam Baines. I can't tel you how many times I quote Lorraine's dad in a given week. Stella! Another one of these damn kids jumped in front of my car, again!
Woot! Was that me?
