All the Jole things I am going to write... All the Simon things... All the things...
Crisis Core made me love Zack so...
Meanwhile I know nothing about the remake, oh man; worst fan ever...
I'm K and I've, uh, written in FFVII for ages and ages - mostly Rufus and Tseng, though now I'm working on a Pacific Rim AU that just... isn't ending, in spite of me failing to update anywhere near to on time :3
I remember like... one of these.
I... Now need fic about potions made from moulted bits of malboro
I'll do for Vorkosigan Saga!
I fell off of the fandom wagon all year; I wouldn't know, alas!
Actually, the more I think about it, the more we should probably just resurface and promote Bujold Ficathon?
How much Vor can we throw at something...
I suspect there's a "universal axis" of sort; if we lose the (Earth) Sun as a focal point things must be a little tricky. I'm no astronomy buff, so I'd have to go read up a bit, but I'm super interested in what a set of galactic-level worlds as we've got in Vorkoverse would come up with to deal with expansion and constant motion.
It'd be neat if planets served as lodestones for each other - Barrayar-to-Komarr being a distance that is tracked, and then Barrayar-to-Jackson's and so on - forming a kind of galactic plane that constellations are drawn against.
We can start up an AO3 fill-style challenge/community and just surface/add prompts on a biweekly/monthly basis? Less pressure but at least some visibility/gift-y-for-someone feels?
The dude's practically set up to be one. ImpSec and inter-galactic political training, heritage, and with an academic background? If he ever retires off of Komarran Affairs...
I'd be more for general prompts that could go across character lines, or situations (what if X), or a bingo-style thing.
I'll get it set up after work today if there's a good idea for what it should be! Like a fill request, or just a straight up exchange...?
This is my favourite Ivan trope of all time. Especially since we get hints of it in canon - this man knows how to read the political atmosphere; he just happens to, you know. Use that skill to avoid all things political.
Is it bad that this makes me really, really want Duv as an Auditor?
For writerly types, a prompt of the week might be nice; I'd be happy to help spin up a small challenge to go on AO3 to kind of get an activity kick going?
I AM SO HAPPY TO BE HERE
+1
I'm with the people above: awkwardness/forced intimacy is a little painful to read, and the alternative - which is to pad with fluff - can be a little brain-numbing for me.
If there's a preestablished background of politics that makes this make sense, though? That helps! But if it gets glossed over in favour of negotiating the personal interactions alone, I tend to zone out.
I love Reno saying that a peaceful Planet doesn't need Turks xD
I think it might want something more substantial than water...
Ahaha omg
