Imzy Kitty!
Adorable. And bittersweet.
Thank you.
I still want to cry. I feel like I am losing a friend.
As a lifelong bibliophile, I find this incomprehensible.
I have no idea about these things myself.
And do they even want to? That's another question.
This is SO awesome. Where is it from?
Yay! I just joined!
Now I am so happy, I do the Dance of Joy!
Thank you. I will pop over there and join.
That is hilarious!
Gosh, I wonder which stamp that would be, Mr. Picard?
:-)
I apologize for not seeing this to reply to earlier--waaaaaay too busy with work. And now Imzy is leaving us! <sniff, sniff>
I pretty much have always been a "rank and file" fan--occasionally helped other fans produce their zines. however.
I contributed a limerick to one zine and a filk to another. I was scheduled to have "The World's Shortest K/S Story" published in Obsc'zine #5 back in the 80s, but that zine never saw fruition.
An impossible question! I couldn't narrow my list down to a hundred titles, I'm afraid.
Just to pick a title entirely at random from my movie library . . . In the Heat of the Night.
It just does not get any better than Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger, in a movie that had a profound impact on me when I was a child.
And goodbye to this community, now that Imzy is shutting down. :-)
I am officially Very Unhappy.
:-(
My sad is bottomless right now.
Goodbye!
Yes! DW!
I refuse to get involved with Tumblr. LJ is dying/dead. Facebook is irritating as all get-out. I was sooooo happy with Imzy, and this is my favorite community.
Please, please, please take this to DW.

YAY!
Uh-uh.
You go first. If you make it back alive, you can report to the rest of us.
:-)
At the end of a long, frazzled, tiring workday--coming home to rummage among the bookshelves is . . . heaven. :-)
Shelf space being finite, I do periodically go through and purge the collection--but that always takes me days and days, because I keep stopping to read!
:-)
I am dubious . . . but then again, I have no intention of paying for a streaming channel in order to watch it, so I guess I don't have to worry about it.
:-)
I really liked that show--although it got a little wearing as it went on and the characters became more like caricatures.
And I despised the final episode. I haven't been following the news on this reboot--if they are going to pretend the final episode didn't happen, I may check it out.

I'm not familiar with that book series. Can you tell me something about it?
ksl
I stop watching the series after Sorkin and Tommy Schlamme left. A friend of mine kept watching for a while, and everything she told me about the series confirmed that I had made the right decision.
I'm popping in without anything to say--because I'm so busy right now. But I have downloaded the full essay to read when I can, and I thank you for posting this.
I have not even bothered to look.
