• Just became an adult and I'm still the lil kid around here.

  • I'll definitely check out your community. It seems really interesting, and I just read through the interview with Jesse Mank (which I liked a lot, by the way). I definitely present myself differently on different sites - would be way more obvious if you could see my Facebook and Tumblr, but I try to keep all of those identities separate. Like you're talking about over there, it's hard enough to keep track of everything already. c:

  • Popplio gets so little love, I wanna protect it.

  • I'm Maddy! I'm from Indiana, and I'm about to start college at Ball State as a Biology major. I'm also bisexual and I've been in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend for over three years. (I'm kinda still working on the gender thing, though. I'll get back to you on that when I figure it out.) I like music, I write things sometimes, and I really love dogs. That's all I got, I think.

  • I've heard a ton of good things about Wynnona Earp. Does it live up to that?

  • Lately, I've been playing Life is Strange. Everyone else seems to have played that game already, but I haven't been able to yet (couldn't afford it until it went on sale this summer) and now that I've finally started I love the relationship between Max and Chloe. And the game is really gorgeous, too.

  • Watched the entire thing just the other day because I started and couldn't stop. Loved the aesthetic and the soundtrack, and Eleven is so intriguing as a character. Already dreading the wait for season two.

  • I'd really like to think that voting for a third-party candidate wouldn't be throwing my vote away, but when you look back on elections like 2000 it seems more and more like any vote for a third party just throws your vote towards the major candidate you don't want to elect. So as much as I don't want to vote for Clinton, I'd rather her than Trump.

  • Nice!!!!!! Finally we can flee from that Blue Hell Website omf. We're Free (tm)

  • Yeah, pretty much - reddit started attracting alt-right types, and tumblr's social justice culture ended up being more based around vindictiveness than justice, and in the end neither environment ended up being healthy or open to new ideas. And I'll absolutely join your community - honestly, that sounds really nice. It would be refreshing to be able to talk about that kind of thing without having to constantly be afraid that I'll say one wrong word and all of a sudden I'm hated; that's the biggest reason tumblr just isn't good for my anxiety.

  • Well, tumblr does sort of have a reputation for being social justice central, and while that's not a bad thing at all, people in the community can be terrible about it? I'm personally all for activism but there's a tendency to immediately call out people after they make one mistake or say one bad thing ever and it's just? People there have their hearts in the right place, I think, but they can kinda go too far and so you've ended up with "callout culture" and excessive anon hate. And it's really exhausting to be there in the middle of all that, especially if you've got anxiety like me. Dunno if that makes perfect sense, I'm not the best at explaining things, but - yeah.

  • That's honestly so relieving to hear. I really love tumblr because it's nice to connect with people who like the same things and such, but I'm really hoping imzy will be better because there's just so much hate and unnecessary meanness over on tumblr and it's really tiring, tbh.

  • Thank you so much!

  • I heard about it orginally from tumblr user vergess, I believe, and got an invite from Asher (intergalactic_ashkenazi). c:

  • Thank you! :D

  • hey, this is deathsvalleys from tumblr!! thank you so much for throwing me an invite. :o
