The last sentence shows why this community won't have a diverse set of views.
Why? Because it imposes a viewpoint of the OP that needs to be adhered to.
so great! how about enhancing the meanings of the haikus with a neural network?
define "people"
I'm more than happy if community leaders can decide where those limits are. My meaning of safe space was: a space where your current beliefs / ideas don't get challenged and you're never actually exposed to anything that might change your mind.
Makes sense. I have that "fear" because there's an increase of thought policing out there. It's just sad to see that sites (such as Reddit or YouTube) start losing interest in their primary user base when they grow big. They also start prioritizing (big) business interests (see Youtube's mass flagging system)
My concern is: What happens when community leaders start having opinions and threads that conflict with imzy's agenda? I'm pretty sure Twitter has the stance of just banning those users, but what about imzy? Even though you're a benevolent dictator as a community leader, you still have someone above you right?
Might sound like I'm hyping up scenarios that don't even exist, but if imzy want's to be truly open, we should be having these conversations better earlier than later.
that's so great to hear! I know it's irrational (in our day and age) to take articles like that seriously and they've definitely had a negative impact on me upon first read.
It's great though that there's reassurance from the imzy team directly and I'm looking forward to embracing the imzy communities more strongly now, thanks
I really like the idea of this community, good stuff :)
sounds great, looking forward to checking this out and meeting all the people. Also just to be sure, it's a time based feed, right?
