No malice intended. Anything on the internet should be taken with multiple grains of salt. This is quadrupally true for anything on Reddit. I think the recall is a very responsible thing, and I'm 100% in support of LC for being so proactive. Other companies could easily divest themselves from the issue and make Marvel the heavy. So for that alone, kudos.
While it's a totally bummer (because I love the idea of the item), I believe that this is quite obviously the only move. I appreciate the honesty from LC in dealing with this (although the comment about Reddit posts being deleted is more than a little troubling). Has there ever been a recall on a Crate item before? It'll be interesting to see how it's handled. Still, I hope no one was seriously, or even moderately, injured by the gauntlet. No one hand should have all that power...
Thank you for posting this! I'm not familiar with most of the games, but I'm pretty excited about Mysterium.
Yeah, that was pretty funny timing. I'm good with Bioshock and Fallout. I like the theme idea, but I have to admit, the Robocop and Terminator stuff aren't in my wheelhouse. There are bigger dystopian franchises that, personally, I'd have preferred. Still, I don't imagine it's easy to come up with new themes all the time!!
I'm always fearful that the Marvel CU will overtake the fandom, and the film du jour will unfairly sway the choices that come down the pipeline. Some characters, say in the X-Men universe, have been ruined by bad casting and bad storylines. I'm hopeful that a well rounded approach will continue to be observed, and that as a looter community, we might not always get our exact favorite things, but we'll always have a good representation of comic characters (as well as other gaming, movie, anime, and other staples).
My standard hope is for one wearable(very happy about the tshirts), one collectable/figure, and one other functional item. Anything else is gravy. This crate delivered in a big way.
Thanks for letting me join up. I always intend to get more active via social media, so I thought I'd give this a whirl.
