I'm 30, recently married, no kids, two dogs, and a kickass job at a kickass company with kickass coworks and a kickass boss. Actually making money. Took a long time to get here it feels like, and sometimes I get imposter syndrome and wonder when the shoe is going to drop. Doing my best to enjoy this time in my life, cause it's rarely this awesome.
Not too long ago I was single, struggling, fired, and generally just a really sad person. Nothing ever stays the same way for too long if you're patient and do what you can.
To everyone struggling, hang in there! It can get better :)
✔️ All Dogs.
Thanks for sharing! Just joined that community, too!
Awww Buster with the crooked ear!
His full name is Oscar Diddles T. Nation, The Original Gaius. Sometimes Gremlin, Dingus, Muppet, Old Man... Our other dog Charlie has a crooked hooked tail that is not natural. I told my SO we can never have a normal dog. Our next one will have 3 legs or something.
I do my part.
They are mutts. The vet doesn't even know what they are. They are approx. 30lbs (probably more, because i share my people-food). Oscar can be described as an 11-year-old muppet-faced mongrel who naps 14 hours a day, 2 feet from toes of the nearest person in the room. Charlie stands 2ft fall and is a cross between a minature German Shepherd and a baby deer. He's three and just coming out of his "i'm a little shit" phase.
I know thats more information than you asked for. I'm going to join /dogs now.
Are they crunchy hippies, vegans, or work in tech? :D
Very kind of you. I feel welcomed.
Hey thanks!
I was taken on a week long trip to California to ease the transition. Can't complain.
I feel like if I attempted pinup photos, it would look something like this >> http://www.boredpanda.com/celebrity-instagram-parody-celeste-barber/

Thank you for appreciating our mutual love for Andy Dwyer.
Your hard work is appreciated, everything looks great.
Sounds like there is a lot of social fear. Have you revisited your community's rules or guidelines lately? Maybe there should be something included in there about gender neutral terms to make members feel more comfortable posting.
I love @jammin's tips and will add a couple of my own:
Get to know your members. Tag in or personally email members who you think would be great at weighing in on a particular thread. Something like, "Hi so-and-so, I know that you know a lot about [topic], I think that your opinion could really be value on [this thread]."
It's so great that you got member feedback from someone who was "lurking". Use it as an opportunity to open a broader discussion. Post the scenario and ask the community to weigh in on their personal thoughts on gender neutrality on the social web. Sounds like an interesting discussion topic!
