No wonder publishers are failing. With management like that it's a miracle they're still around.
I'm starring to think you are work for a government or something. You can only get away with it if the client has deep pockets and doesn't get penalized when if doesn't work. I.E., a government client.
This is the "industry standard" model now, I believe:
my boss vehemently shutdown any prospect of making plans or having goals or scope
I'd get out of there as soon as possible. Staying there will lead to madness. I though even Agile had those things.

I come from a place where I'm used to extreme, abrupt, temperature fluctuations. A place where it could like you picture in the mornining and then have a blizzard a few hours later. Now I'm in a place where the weather only has three setting: Sunny, Partly Cloudy, or Raining.
I want a range of temperatures and weather conditions back!
