Yay, proper livejournal people!
Oh, the drama - but to be fair, I don't think ti was as bad as Tumblr and The Discourse...
screaming I will be in moments
let's be censorious and old-fashioned in our adherence to Roles
ooh, I am post-Usenet but v. much Tripod/Angelfire (and of course ff.net).
I wonder now if younger fans ever go through that stage of writing fic in notebooks before they realise fandom and fanfiction are a thing, because they were born post-internet. I was writing recognisable fanfic from about six or seven (Little Women and also Animals of Farthing Wood) but we didn't have an internet-connected computer at home until I was thirteen.
i know but we must BUILD COMMUNITY, I do like how on tumblr people were all "er bottom jeeves" in a righteously horrified way.
GRIM WOOSTER PREQUEL
It would be awesome if one thing imzy did was bring pre-AO3 fanworks archives to the attention of (to be blunt) the tumblr generation of fans. In Conan Doyle-fandoms, I'm always astonished when people haven't read e.g. Katie's fics because they're hosted on a website-not-tumblr-or-imzy.
see exactly
(I am still drunk on threaded comments, although slightly bitter that we can't all just go back to livejournal)
I am just high on commenting and creating comment threads
yes! if you do a community as "restricted", that makes a journal, effectively
I am hoping it'll be good for fic stuff, if people post here not on AO3 (or here THEN on AO3) since it's way more conducive to commenting
yeah just wait ATTENDS-TOI
I hope this site lasts long enough for us to find these threads and be ashamed of them in 10 years time again JUST LIKE THE GOOD OLD THREADS OF YORE
what is this where are we how do we I don't understand
