I read The Plague sixteen years ago, and it left a strong sensory impression. Not an easy read, but worth it, I think.

This is great. :D
I most love how the carrot is animated to look so flexible.
Your distraction advice is so convenient, since I already swing a steak over my head in my backyard several times a day!
If I looked directly at that picture, I would probably be shocked.
I think she's in luvvvv.
This is good. You put your finger on that sunny day feeling!
I love the cat.
This is poignant.
The last line is especially fantastic. :)
I like this a lot. I like how the "walking, photos, and poems" curls down onto the last line.
Thank you. Got inspired while on a walk. :)
If you ever want a co-leader, let me know. :) I enjoy this group immensely.
Hey, thank you for founding this group!
Great haiku!
Creepy! :)
I'm not the leader of /haiku, but we saw a rise in member activity (and possibly got new members) after we posted in /lets_grab_coffee about a coffee-centric prompt we had.
A wonderful slice of life.
What I like about this one is the "probably." If I had tried to writs about this incident, I might have stopped because of my uncertainty about whether the creature was a wasp or hornet or a bee. I like it that the uncertainty is woven into your haiku. It's a freedom I admire.
Thanks for this one. I've been a parent for 21 months; this haiku rings true.
This is a fantastic quotation.
Beautiful photo! Thanks for sharing.
I asked the /keepdoodling members to look at these haiku.
Great haiku too!
