They planned to start on the day I get paid, I just know it.
Not this year, sadly-- going on a family trip up to SLO, but I usually try and make each con in the season. And I love The Skids, Absolute Game was one of the first few vinyls I got from my mom when I bought a record player.
I'm a little new here, but my battletag is Sidedysh#1114
True, true. But we can all dream...
Oh man, I miss living by the beach. I used to spend a lot of the summer in Long Beach with my buddy while he goes to school there, and way before that I lived in Oceanside down in SD county, so the surf was always tops. Luckily I work close enough to my place that I don't even gotta deal with the Interstates. Driving up into LA is like a trek down the rings of Hell, if Hell were 30% art, 30% hypodermic needles, and 40% pure rage.
I just picked ESO back up after ditching it around launch. I can't really put my finger on why, but it definitely felt sluggish and bare bones at the beginning. Then, about a month ago, a friend messages me telling me that I have to start playing again, saying that it's gotten much, much better.
Luckily, it totally did. Combat feels better, the quest progression makes you feel more involved. If you dish out the extra cash, being able to play any race, any alliance is really fun, and allows for some interesting character development if you're interested in the roleplaying aspects of TES. It went from the biggest disappointment in MMOs for me to one of the biggest successes. I'd recommend it for anyone who played any of the TES games for the story and the adventure, since it certainly captures that.
Can't turn your character into Hatsune Miku with an AK-47 killing professional wrestlers, though. 7/10.
The new Doom has some pretty fun multiplayer, and Overwatch is a great community sort of game. Heroes of the Storm is a pretty casual MOBA, but I'm a little biased to Blizzard.
Is this not what all fellow SoCal folks do? Hahaha. I don't actually surf to work but I used to do it before work and school. A lot of friends of mine on the East Coast and in Europe assume everyone in California surfs, drinks Arizona Ice Tea, and eats at In-N-Out. Not far off, in my opinion.
