Want to try this soon - picked out yarn and patterns but haven't cast in yet.

What a beautiful result! Gorgeous scarf. 👍

I like to make zippered box bags. They make great gifts, can be used by anyone, and are fun to make. Lots of free patterns & instructions on the web. Two fat quarters, some batting, and a zipper is all it takes.

Ugh! I've been there so I know the frustration first-hand. <sigh> At least it's just string and you can re-knit it into something gorgeous!

I'm re-listening to the series. Started last weekend, almost thru Tricked. Thank you for crafting such great adventures - thoroughly enjoying the ride!

Delighted to see another Linnie represented here! I didn't know much about them until recently. Love the video - so cute!

Ooh, how lovely! I just adopted two Linnies this weekend. Adorable little birds.

Thanks for the comments! I did the quilting with my walking foot and it's super easy. I took a Craftsy class with Jacquie Gering - she does a great job of explaining how to do creative quilting designs with your walking foot. It's basically sewing a straight line, leaving the needle down but raising the pressed foot and turning the fabric, then quilting another straight line. One day I'm going to practice free-motion quilting, but until then I can do some fun stuff like this.

The Big Burn by Timothy Egan got me hooked. So hard to choose favorites -- I've enjoyed Croak, Rogue, and Scortch by Gina Damico; the Iron Druid Chronicles are so fun that I've listened to them twice; The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society; the full cast recording of The Graveyard Book.

Beautiful fabric! Looks like there are some nice tonal variations that might work with a pattern designed for ombré fabric? How about one of Vanessa Christianson's (V and Co) patterns? She's got new ones coming out tomorrow - several are based on square or rectangle cuts.

    Beautiful quilt!

I'm new here, too. Usually not very chatty online, but perhaps I'll post more here. Love quilting and talking with quilters - so glad this group exists!
