Haha, I know the feeling. I have beads and wire EVERYWHERE. And to make it worse I also crochet so there are bags of wool too... XD

Thanks! I collect fossils and beachcomb, and I always end up with jars and jars of broken bits and tiny things that have ended up in my pockets XD I wanted to make something nice with them rather than them sitting around doing nothing, so I've been teaching myself how to wrap them. :)

Thank you! That's the look I was going for. :) I make them for fun but I do sell them as well, I have a shop on Etsy but I wasn't sure about the advertising rules for this community so I didn't link it. It's TeaPoweredArt. :)

You basically just weave the wire like you would with thread! And hmmm, I think I started out with this tutorial. http://www.instructables.com/id/Wire-Wrapping-Basics/ (it's addictive though once you start so be careful XD)

Thanks so much! :) There's some really intricate stuff out there. I'm still working with the basics myself but I really love making these. With the thinner wire it's a lot like sewing!

Hi! I mainly do digital illustration, but in the last year or two I've also really gotten into wire wrap jewellery! Mainly I work with copper and beachcombed things like seaglass, pottery and shells. I also do a bit of crochet and plushie making on occasion! It's nice to find a craft community here :)

Ugh I know right? Same here- that cold I had knocked me right off and now I'm scrabbling to catch up. It's annoying because on the one hand you have to KEEP GOING and on the other HUMANS NEED BREAKS. It's a tough balance.

Mhm. That's the problem I find with creative things- obviously it's mainly art in my case- that if you don't keep going, inertia sets in and it's hard to get started again. It definitely helps when there are things going on!

Yeah, it's nice- everyone seems to be busy making something at this time of year, especially with it being right after inktober. It does make you want to DO THINGS when you're surrounded by people doing so XD

...I've got to admit I'm tempted to do -something- for nano even if it's not an 'official' one or actually 50k /D like scripting that fancomic I keep saying I'm gonna restart but never actually get around to.
