• Something causes them to run out of fuel/mechanical issues? Totally mundane logistical issues are also risks.

  • Awesome, thanks!

  • The biggest thing that gets me interested is people whose opinions I trust gushing over it. Heck, I resisted Harry Potter for the longest because I had no idea what the big deal was. Once people I cared about started talking to me about it, I dipped my toes in, then dove in.

Similarly, once I find an author I like, I will probably start devouring all of their stuff. This can prove to have mixed results with people who bounce between genres/writing styles (like yourself, or Neil Gaiman) because I can lovelovelove some of their work and bounce hard off other pieces. I will still try everything those authors write, but no guarantees I'll recommend all of it to friends.

Also, there's anthologies. Actually, that's how I found you! I bought Three Slices for the Iron Druid story, and fell in love with Crim (especially since the narrator just made me melt) and then promptly bought everything of yours I could get my hands on (Servants of the Storm being the one that I have bounced off of).

While it may feel like you're a broken record, I really do appreciate you keeping me excited that you have new stuff that I can give you my money for! But, granted, that only works because I already love you. If I didn't already know who you were and love what you wrote, then I probably wouldn't hear that message in the first place, much less care about it.

  • I've only done the virtual races with HRC - seriously awesome medals, and they've been doing solid tshirt designs as well.

Is this linked to Facebook, or are the teams just within CharityMiles (because the "Common Rooms" on HRC are Facebook, which I don't do...

  • If you ever find yourself in Augusta, GA, go to Sunrise Grill for breakfast and get the sweet potato pancakes.

  • ...yes? Depends on if I'm at home, out and about, what sort of yarn I'm going for...
