That's literally like two clicks. Gotta admire your commitment to THAT level of lazy.
I created the contest. If you're too lazy to type out your answers, I can't help that, ha! ;)
Well, forward movement was had, even if we didn't like the direction it moved. I have to believe he'll come out of this strong. Damaged, but strong.
Yeah, as cool as Damon Gupton is as an actor, the character hasn't resonated with any fan, that I've seen.
Yes I want them to focus on ALL Spencer ALL the time right now. I wish they would but I don't think they will.
A pic of Nora Ephron.
Santa Clarita Diet! Super funny zombie show starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant.
Yes I really miss the days when a fic would get 30+ reviews in a day. What's funny is, the number of views hasn't diminished, just the number of people leaving reviews. I have one fic that has nearly 300 reviews, but another that I think is a cleaner, tighter story, got only 50. And those are the two with the most. I think my last fic has 3. Three reviews. It's extremely disheartening. I love to see attention paid to this phenomenon, even though I'm not sure what can be done about it, or even why it's happening.
As long as they feature Spencer, and it doesn't mean his demise, I'm in.
I'm the only one who can create posts in my community, but anyone can comment. I see it as an aggregate of my Criminal Minds fansite, tumblrs, and CM facebook pages. I take posts from all of them and put them here. There are 30 members so far, but only ten of them have ever bothered to post.
I share your frustration with the unnamed. I don't think I've ever joined a community just to NOT post.
Well done!
I didn't see it as jarring, I saw it as homage. Routh played it as Reeve would have, and I loved it.
Love 'Leverage', and Reid's Maeve is Parker! And Lindsay from Angel!
Yes, my ship is JJ and her Spence. I've written around 15 stories for them with no slowing down in sight, ha. Don't see Reid as gay, even though he was originally envisioned as Bi by the creator of the show Jeff Davis. I do like some fic in the MoReid pairing though, and wrote one as a gift for a friend once.
Everyone check out Lena's review!
Okay, before I actually sit down and get to writing this; I have to say that I think that the CM writers are stepping it up this season. With Hotch and Morgan gone, I think they’re doing a better job writing the episodes this season than the ones before it. That’s not to say that they don’t write great episodes (Entropy, Mr. Scratch, and A Beautiful Disaster being quite notable ones), but the writing this season has been a lot more consistent and a lot less off-the-rails crazy, if you can say that for a fictional TV show.
First of all, after managing to catch up with Elliot’s Pond (excellent writing by Erica and superb directing from Matthew); Mirror Image brings the same exact flavor, also known as great acting, writing, and directing, which I LOVE. This episode is not only excellent with Breen writing it, but Joe directing it was a great choice. He brought something different this episode, something that really goes beyond the norm of “let’s make it different, but still keep it that same!”. He’s done an excellent job not only as a talented actor, but as a fabulous director as well.
Aisha. God, can I say that she absolutely brought it here? Because her acting was just that good. She’s great as a stand-up comedian, but damn; she was brilliant in Mirror Image. Trying to walk the fine line of being a professional FBI agent and loving sister/daughter is something that most actors can’t pull off all too well. Yet Aisha did it, and she did it in a fantastic way.
Even Alimi was amazing in his role, playing the fake brother/delusional innocent caught in the crosshairs. Going from confident to justifiably scared is just that brilliant. And Scratch, even though I hate that rat faced son-of-a-bitch, sorry for my language there; is convincingly frighting, even when he’s not in the episode. I know a lot of Batman villains, and he could play one brilliant Joker, Vandal Savage, or Ra’s al Ghul. (This is my DC fangirl mingling with my CM fangirl. Don’t ask.)
Everybody had a part to play here, from badass unit chief Emily Prentiss, to butterfly hacker Penelope Garcia, to badass genius Spencer Reid; even the new guy got a part in this! Yes, I said new guy. Do I like him, yes. Do I call him newbie? No. I have no idea where Spencer got that knowledge of the special rope though. Secret undercover mission that requires something to do with a certain blonde? Yeah, let’s leave it at that.
All in all, one action-packed episode to follow up a heartfelt, and somehow emotional episode. Yeah, I thought Elliot’s Pond was emotional, okay? And this is coming from the girl who doesn’t cry at emotional scenes; even Spencer’s last scene on the plane so he could spend time with his mom before he could comes back to the BAU in Scarecrow. (That was a mouthful.) Yes, even 100. I’m a aloof dark-haired girl after all.
This is really long.
Also, the BAU in the elevator was badass.
Aside from the original Christopher Reeve Superman, this one is my favorite. Brandon Routh did an incredible homage, while still making us care about HIS version of Supes. I loved the Art Deco look of the film, all the callbacks to other Superman media like the first comic book cover... and Kevin Spacey chewed all kinds of scenery as Lex.
No, numbers don't concern me, never have. I'd like to have members participate and enjoy because content is quite good, but I don't want creepy silent lurkers. I guess my only option is to make it private. I didn't want to do that and it's already restricted. You're the only one that seems to kind of get what I'm driving at. Anyway, it's been lively. My best to all of you.
OMG then just DON'T JOIN. How much simpler can I say it? Don't fucking join if you're just going to be a disembodied ghost. Read whatever you want! YAY! But don't JOIN a community if you don't want to be counted among the denizens. Is this whole board plagued with an OBTUSE disease? You all know what I'm talking about, but acting like you don't.
Sorry to have offended you, but you don't have to join a community to read it. If you just want to read, fine, do THAT. If you JOIN a community, that means you want to be in it and participate. If you join and then just stay silent in the shadows? Sorry man, that's creepy.
Again, then just don't JOIN. If you join, it implies you want to participate. You can lurk without joining. If you JOIN, take a name. Seems cowardly and skeevy, otherwise.
You can read without joining. When you join it implies that you want to participate. Sitting there like a creepy ghost without contributing anything is weird. Don't join, then.
It's creepy. I don't like anon users just sitting there doing nothing. Why do they even join, then? I don't get it and I don't like it in my community.
I disagree, and I own two, and belong to many others. When people have an identity, they have a responsibility to that identity, unless they are just trolls and then they can be banned. But people who just sign up and say nothing ever? Sorry but that's fucking creepy. And it's worth noting that every one of you that have responded have a username. SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY RESPOND! Get it?
Ugh. Whatever. It's my request, and I hope they implement it. You don't have to agree.
Because you cannot talk to them unless they do, unless they choose an identity. Why is this so hard for you to understand? Even if I was a blue cat, then you'd be able to send me a note. "Hey, I like this cookie recipe, what do you think?" - type thing. Fully anonymous sites are filled with creepy people who have zero interest in interaction but just want to troll or worse. I'd like to see who signed up for MY community. If they won't commit to even a username, what's the point of being there?
Oh my god. BECAUSE THEY DON'T PARTICIPATE. If someone joins a group, it's assumed they have like-minded interests. Who the hell wants to join a group and just hide? It's weird and I don't like it.
