Very cool @LanokirX!
To commemorate the event... Anyone want to share a story about when they hit their first 100 subscribers?
Also, fun fact - a couple weeks ago YouTube simplified their channel name experience so you no longer need the /c/ part of it! Just YouTube.com/Mellibear
Hey @Mellibear welcome to the community!
If there's one thing every YouTuber could use... is a little help with saving some cash on the cost of cameras and other equipment haha.
I don't think we have any thrift creators over at /YouTubers but we're certainly willing to welcome you as the first! :)
Hahaha yeah... who has the internet capable of doing this though?!
Personally, when I record I'm usually around -12 to -8 (as a max). That way I can easily bring up the volume on parts that need it. My end product is usually closer to -2 to -1db.
Hey Dylucke! Welcome to the community! That's a nice spin on a traditional Let's Play!
I definitely agree there will be a little bit more developed towards live video - though I'm sure they are watching Periscope and it's current struggles and possibly tempering their expectations too.
Haha, we can only hope right? Although, I do love my comments section as is - any tool that helps manage it makes it better!
Yeah, I think it's coming into effect very soon.
Hey thanks for the feedback @CoachMixon!
Couple questions for you:
Do you think they helped grow your channel the two years you were with them?
Were you able to re-monetize the videos?
Have you noticed a significant drop in adsense money?
Do you think you will join an MCN in the future?
Hm, I've never joined an MCN, so I don't have a ton of insight into this unfortunately. That said, Video Creators has a video on this that may help!
Your commitment is impressive! Multiple posts a day? Wild! Welcome to the community!
Hey Bradon! Welcome! A pleasure to have you here!
True - definitely a valid response. I think the main problem is that YouTube is traditionally terrible at delivering news on their updates haha.
Thanks! I like your name haha.
Welcome! I've added you to the above list. :)
Oh, and make sure to share your link in this post so I can update it and people can find your channel! https://www.imzy.com/youtubers/post/community_members
A pleasure to meet you and welcome to the community! Great to have you here!
And that's where everyone starts! Just keep filming, editing, and posting and you grow in subs and skill!
Hey Alex!
We all gotta start somewhere haha. Windows Movie Maker isn't great, but it is free and relatively easy to use. Though, I would look at Adobe Premiere CC which is what most YouTubers use (on Windows). It's paid for, but it's not ridiculous. http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere.html
As for how to use them - Google and YouTube are your best friend. They have a ton of tutorials on how to do everything.
I'm glad someone agrees!
I tried to pick the most random things figuring people would clue into the ridiculousness of it :P
Sarcasm evidently doesn't translate. :(
