A Transgender Student Was Publicly Bullied by a Guest Speaker at Her School
This is so awful. Not only does Milo use incorrect pronouns and the wrong name to talk about Adelaide, he also refers to her as "it," completely dehumanizing her. Milo didn't even need to call Adelaide "it" to dehumanize her, though, using the wrong name and pronouns had already done that.

Teen Vogue goes a step further than other reports and explains why specific language Milo used is dehumanizing transgender people.

What a horrible human being. Why does his event continue to be booked when he so openly courts defamation claims?
You'd think university admins would have some kind of spine. But then I guess they wouldn't become admins.
UWM's president claimed he would not be allowed to block Milo because they can't interfere with speakers invited by student groups or something, which is what other universities have said after backlash over his appearance as well.
To be honest, that seems like bullshit to me, even if it is official policy. He's not a speaker, or a provacatuer, just an asshole on a stage shouting hate and inspiring future rapists, klan members, and spree killers. Nothing he says or does provides any academic value, which if you're going to have a policy of not blocking speakers students invite, you should also have a policy that students have to prove the person they're inviting serves a useful purpose.
The description of how he ritually ostracised Adelaide was awful and feral. She should find a good lawyer. And other campuses should take note.
Yeah, that's some bullshit there. So if it wasn't Milo but, say, a Ku Klux Klan member, would they still allow the speaker to come and spew their hateful bile? I'm sure there must be some point at which they draw the line. If it's an officially recognized student group funded by the university and using a university venue, they should certainly follow some basic ground rules when inviting speakers. And inviting a speaker who uses his platform to demean members of the student body is definitely a no-no. I would hope that the student group that invited him at least faces some official sanction.
