Another haunting song that was released as a single, though it barely charted! There were two official videos but they seem to have vanished from the internet and this one was very hard to track down!

Yeah this scene was filmed almost by accident, they were filming the other video (which I can no longer find!) and when it got to this part Amy decided to sing the entire song just sitting in the corner - and it really works for the theme of the song.
I do wonder about how personal her songs are sometimes - her first album came out when she was 17 and amongst the more youthful upbeat stuff there are a couple of heart wrenching tracks about abuse and breakups which she must've written in her teens - but they sound so heartfelt I do wonder at the things that have happened to her.
I know she has been through a few mental health issues, part of her disappearance from the public eye was due to severe stage fright and anxiety and she never had the outgoing personality expected of a pop star. I think she's in a happier place now, she certainly comes across so in her social media posts.
I'm glad to have converted someone to the awesomeness that is Amy - her second album that this track is from got so little exposure that it's pretty much a crime. And it's been almost entirely erased from the world - CDs are like gold dust, it doesn't appear on streaming sites.
This video was actually uploaded to Vimeo by me (I tried YouTube and it got taken down for copyright which makes no sense considering how erased from the internet it is!!) and I only have a copy because I acquired a DVD from someone on Ebay along with a collection of Amy's tracks on CDs that were originally issued directly to radio stations - they have the PR spiel on them and everything!
Sorry for going on so long there - I just love Amy and feel very passionately about the treatment of women music artists by the music industry!

I agree, it's just appalling to be honest - funnily enough I've discovered/become fans of so many talented women after hearing about their struggles with various issues. Like Kesha, Selena Gomez, Amanda Heard. I guess their stories strike a chord and I just want them to be OK!
