The only customization I require is to shove the Pixel line where the sun don't shine and replace it with affordable options.
Having an affordable line of vanilla Android phones is great. Why you need to take away the option of premium phones is beyond me. Having a clear premium phone is good for the Android ecosystem. But I doubt I will spend that money on it.
I have a Pixel XL and I like it just fine, but I only got it because my employer paid for it. I never would have shelled out the $900+ from my own pocket. I had most of the Nexus phones from 1-6 and really preferred those - the price points coupled with pure Android.
Just ran through it, pretty neat. I'm definitely grabbing the icon pack.
