Girls: show some light to guys
I absolutely love when I see a girl wearing a thong, but I can't imagine how on earth they'd be comfy. They look like they're not - at all! Are they, actually? How was your first encounter with this style?

Ok, not only girls wear them. But. Well. I'll just answer even though I am a nonbinary trans person, because I think I still have some insight into the matter.
Additionally to what people have already said, I really think that it is a question of personal preference. There where times when I wore them because I thought they were less weird than other underthings. I thought they looked nice, and I either didn't notice how uncomfortable they were, or the combination of my clothes and my body was ideal for thongs and they actually were comfortable.
Later, I stopped wearing them - partly because my dorm had a designated room for drying laundry and I was embarrassed to hang them there. Partly because I started to think they were uncomfortable.
Right now, I really prefer men's boxer briefs. I know that some people who, like me, don't have a penis, are uncomfortable wearing them. Not because of the gendered implications, but because to them, it feels weird to have that extra space. For me that's different - I like how it makes them less tight.
So. Personal taste can make a huge difference and not everything has to be logical.
Also, for some people, liking the looks of what they are wearing may be more important than the way it feels, and I think that's also ok. Hell, I wear binders, and definitely not because they fell nice, but because I like the way I look when I bind.
It depends a lot on the style and material. It can be comfortable...I guess you get used to it.
My first thongs were pretty stringy and not made of nice material so they were uncomfortable. I wore them for my high school boyfriend.
I've mostly forgotten/blocked out what they looked like, but I remember thinking the print was rather juvenile despite the fact they were on a thong, which is typically sexual.
Loads of us wear them to avoid getting underwear lines under revealing jeans or skirts. Other times it's to feel sexy for ourselves.
I have one pair which is actually incredibly comfortable, however I don't think all pairs are. Mine is a sort of silky fabric and the fit isn't tight, which I think really helps.
Absolutely we are confy!!
I can't stand them. I didn't find them comfortable, or like the way they looked. I prefer the 'boy shorts' style, or the loose trad French silk shorts.
