What are some good ways to learn to love your body?
I'm in my early 20s and just gained a bit of weight from switching antidepressants. It feels really weird to not recognize your own body when it changes so quickly so I was just wondering if you've got any tips on how to love the body your in, with all these new rolls and folds?
Not looking for weight loss tips, I just want to learn how to love this new chub I've got.

what helps me is dressing up. buy/wear something that makes you feel good/cute/sexy/pretty.. just something flattering :)
I agree with this. Dress in a way that flatters you!
Well, since it's my new medication that's causing this weight gain, I assume it's not going to be that easy to lose it and I've always believed that you shouldn't have to change the way you look in order to be able to love your body. It's just a little easier said than done.
you can do it :)
Yeah, I guess I just need to figure out what's flattering for this new body shape I've got. Thanks for the tip!
no problem :) I think it's great that you're trying to accept your body instead of trying to change it!
Disgusting
Why do you have to post something nasty that just makes someone feel bad when you could just as easily not post at all?
Being confident in yourself is so sexy, I'm curvier than all my friends yet I'm the most confident. Wearing sexy underwear and clothes you feel good in make all the difference. Go on a shopping trip and try out all different types of clothes until you find the ones you look amazing in! What kind of shape would you say you have?
I hope this wasn't too revealing but that's roughly my body shape right now. I have some curves but not a very defined waist.
You need healthy thoughts about the body... it starts in your mind. I recommend making a relationship with a Higher Power. Find out what the true purpose of the body is.
You look thin to me!
I understand weight gain from medication. A few years ago I packed on forty pounds from taking an anti-depressant and got very down on myself. My psychiatrist then prescribed Topamax to help combat the weight gain, and it worked. Maybe talk to your doctor about a Topamax prescription if the extra weight really starts bothering you.
It doesn't really bother me, it's just something to get used to. I was a really chubby child, but lost all that weight after puberty. Guess I'm a kid again now!
