The Official Imzy for Studio Wildcard's Dinosaur Survival Games, ARK: Survival Evolved & ARK: Survival of the Fittest
Testing suggestion
Apologies ahead of time, as I have not started any community discussions before lol. But being an Ark player since day one on PC, now on Xbox as well, and having missed my opportunity to join the PC testing server, I have a suggestion. I see that you guys are implementing dedicated testing servers on Xbox, but it seems that they are more directed at testing overall server population. Have you considered possibly rolling out a separate testing copy of the game? What I mean by this is enrolling a select group for testing much like you did on PC, and giving them codes to download a separate version of the game dedicated only to testing new updates before they release to the public. That way situations like the current save issue is fixed beforehand. Not sure if it would be any help, but I would love to hear what everyone thinks about it, criticism included lol.

That idea reminds me of what Battlefield released for their game testing, called Battlefield Community Test Environment (CTE) it was very successful for them and led to some good DLC. I would love to see that with Ark Survival, especially on the Xbox. I think this is a great idea.
Thank you, I think it would benefit the community quite a bit. It would allow them to plan out an ETA a lot easier, plan for the Microsoft cert. that can take up to a day, set aside 1-3 days for testing after certification, and if anything happens in those days it allows for a better heads up for the rest of the community that there will be a delay.
Interesting, wasn't aware that this was something they had done. I'll see if any other members of the team are familiar with it, though it's definitely worth a think about and see how much it would effect our pipelines :)
That would be awesome! Make sure to let us know, I'm not missing out on another testing opportunity :)
If it happens, I shall keep you posted!
I would sign up for it in a heartbeat
Yup, Ark is officially a permanent part of my life, trying to convince the wife to use the logo as the backdrop in our next family photo ;p
The kids love the idea lol
Now that's dedication
