Welcome to the World of #FitMoms, Where Women Are Praised for Their Tiny Baby Bumps

Exercise in America has become an increasingly punishing pastime in recent years. Running a marathon, once king of impressive physical achievements, has been edged out by more brag-worthy endeavors like completing a triathlon or extreme obstacle course race.

Anyone else spend their first trimester napping instead of worrying about their abs? :P

The whole stigma behind weight gain drives me batty. I gained (and later lost) 65 lbs in my first pregnancy. My body did what it was going to do. I'll never forget the creep of an OBGYN giving me dieting techniques when I was 41 weeks. Trust your body, don't eat Oreos exclusively, and get as much exercise as you can handle. Happy mommy is step 1 to having a happy baby.
