That's awesome!! You'll have a lot of fun in Paris! I don't live there, I live in Lyon but I've visited family in Paris a few times.
Of course the Eiffel Tower and the Louvres Museum are mandatory visits. There's also the Quai d'Orsay museum that's pretty popular (I've never seen it so can't really say much about it), you HAVE to see Montmartre - it's a district on a hill, and it's absolutely gorgeous! - and of course the Champs Elysées with the Arc de Triomphe. You should walk along the Seine river too, and visit the Défense district which is basically a mall and lots of office buildings but it's very modern so definitely a must-see. There are lots of parks in and around Paris, but if you have to chose, go to the Jardin des Plantes and the Jardin de Luxembourg. Finally, my favorite place is the Quartier Latin where there are the most famous universities like the Sorbonne, and fountains and kebabs and cafés, it's the frenchiest place on earth in my opinion: narrow paved streets, young people riding bikes, wine, baguettes and everything!
I'd be very happy to see this community become a French class haha!
If you need any help with French and/or want to know more about the language or culture, I'd love to tell you more!
Hi! Wow, this community is newer than I thought it'd be (here from the community showcase, btw).
I'm here because I'll be going to summer school in Paris next month. Any tips on getting around? Must-sees besides the Louvre or Eiffel Tower? Will there be opportunities in this comm to practise my French?
