Everything bipolar. Anger, joy, sadness, science, medications, therapists, mania, depression, substance abuse, anything.
What do we want in a community for bipolar disorder?
I want this community to be shaped by all of its participants, so if anyone has any ideas they would like to share, types of posts they'd like to see, how much they'd like the admin (me) to be involved in things, any concerns or questions, anything like that can go right here, or can always be posted on its own too. This is super new to me so I'm just feeling things out as I go along. :)

I think I personally would be more likely to post if this was a private group. I'm totally for destigmatizing mental illnesses but a feeling of security is nice at times too.
Great point. I think I'll make a poll and ask if other people already here would rather have a public or private group.
I guess the other alternative is to post anonymously or use a different username, if people are uncomfortable.
That's what I really like about imzy, for the few days I've been part of it. I would personally suggest that anyone who would like as much privacy as possible, while still being identifiable to this community use a username specifically for this community only (or any other communities they might be in that are about mental health as well.)
And like you said too, there's always the option to post anonymously. I'll wait for a while and see if we get any more opinions on this. Personally, I would like to keep the group Public, but I can definitely see that being an issue for someone or at some point. For the time being, unless something happens, I'll keep it Public, but I would love to hear from others about what they think the group should be.
