Not Getting Sick
There are some strategies that I use while I'm at work that I think help keep me from getting sick. Some of these are suppliments, some of them are habits, and some of them are strategies if I feel like I might be getting sick.
None of this is stuff I would recommend to anyone else. It works for me, but it's all probably bad.
For suppliments I take sunflower lecithin, zinc, Vitamin C, and 4000 IU of Vitamin D3, every night before bed, like clockwork.
When I am at work I imagine every single object in my office is dripping wet with nasty raw chicken meat. I wouldn't touch that at all, and the visceral response from imagining my office covered in raw chicken meat goop is a powerful reminder to WASH THOSE HANDS and ALWAYS USE SOMETHING DISPOSABLE TO OPERATE OBJECTS. Carry kleenex, napkins, whatever it takes. That's why I grab extra napkins at McDonalds or other fast food places, they won't miss them and I use the napkins to operate door handles and bathroom fixtures. Plus the chicken is actually a reference to a cooking show, Good Eats, which I loved years ago. In that show, Alton Brown covers proper food safety and there is one line "... and WASH THOSE CHICKENY HANDS!" So, imagining every object ooey-gooey like the refrigerator scene in the classic Ghostbusters movie is key. Everything is covered in nass.
If I start to feel sick, I put aside time and do four things immediately. I belt myself with alternating waves of 80 proof liquor and water. Going from intensely drunk to sober and back again. This not only makes my blood and lungs rather inhospitable to infections but also cycles water like mad through my system. Yeah, you spend a lot of time in the bathroom, but I skip being sick. Along with that I trot myself off to the gym and throw myself into workouts and the sauna. It becomes a game of "Biggest Loser" or "Who will die first?" and is probably slightly masochistic on my behalf. Woe any bacteria that tries to set up shop in my lungs, here comes 160 degree air. Hope you enjoy it. And then finally, for a nightcap Hot Toddies. There is something science hasn't found yet, but I maintain exists in the combination of local honey, lemon juice, spices, and whiskey. And always get that flu shot booster. Even if it does nothing for you, it's just one more tool available to your immune system to do its job properly. Life is a race between disease and your immune system, and you should accept nothing but maximum effort and excellence from your immune system. There is no time off, there is no room for weakness. Do not mollycoddle your immune system either. If you deny it battles by throwing medicine at the problem you deny it the chance to really learn how to protect you. If you do get sick, let it be a battle to the death - either you or the illness. If a disease survives pickling in alcohol, baking in an oven, and a flood then it deserves respect.
I haven't been sick in three years since I've followed this program. I've felt sickness try to set up shop, but these strategies always end up in the same place - success for me and death for the illness. I've got no time for a lazy immune system to just waddle out and try a half-assed effort to do it's job. Chop chop little white cells! Get to it! :)

That's a pretty impressive regime, awesome that it works!
Hahaha I love this.
My go to for sick now because I have a tendency to catch EVERYTHING (probably related to my mystery condition) is Kombucha with ginger and cayenne pepper and whiskey in my tea with lemon and honey. Hot baths to sweat it out and lots of water.
I'll see about picking up some supplements like you do for preventative maintenance haha.
