Thanks for posting this. It makes some excellent points. I think it's reasonable to ask people to honestly assess why they want to be part of a particular conversation--especially when they are part of so many other conversations.
Saying something is important isn't the same as saying it's the only thing that's important. Most social justice movements are about focus, not exclusion. And the author is right when she says shifting our focus will benefit everyone.

In my case I'm an excessively slim person, and get a range of comments ranging from me being lucky to being too thin. I can relate to some of what's said here.
