Has anybody read the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch, aka Harry Potter for now-adults? I'm in search of a similar series for the summer. Grazie

British cop discovers he has that certain something-something, starts learning from wizard with a vintage Jag and WW2 experience. London-area river keepers and other fay add to the the mayhem. Fun cozy reads. Can you suggest similar summer escapism?

Vicious Circle by Mike Carey. That one's about a whiskey drinking exorcist and his demon partner. That one is less Harry Potter and more Supernatural though.

Well, it's sort of like Harry Potter for adults.

I'm not familiar with that book series. Can you tell me something about it?
