I can remember, as a very young child, weekly trips to our local branch library, escorted by my older sister. I regularly checked whatever the limit was, and the following week I turned those in for the next batch!
However, I haven't used a library since college (many decades ago). For one thing, I refuse to read books on a timetable (especially if it is not my own schedule). But even more than that--if I read a book and liked it, I wouldn't want to give it back!
The Glass Lake by Maeve Binchy, The Smoke by Tony Broadbent, Local Girls by Alice Hoffman, Deception by Denise Mina, Life Sentences by Laura Lippman, Secrets of Harmony Grove by Mindy Starns Clark, Season of Ice by Les Becquets, Toby's Room by Pat barker, blue diary by alice hoffman, Fin & Lady by Cathleen Schine, the Triumph of Katie byrne by barbara taylor bradford, rebecca's tale by sally beauman, our lady of the forest by david guterson, and the windup girl by paolo bacigalupi
