What's your favorite Imzy book club/reading circle?
Hi there,
I recently joined Imzy and I've noticed there are a fair few book clubs around. I was wondering which ones you've been participating in and which has been your favorite (several favorites are fine obviously)? I'm interested in book clubs for any genres, though I'd prefer ones that are at a slow pace. I was looking at the new Bibliophiles community, but they're doing a book per month it seems and I'd rather have more of a chapter/week type format to have plenty of time for discussion and maybe time to participate in more than one (as well as doing non-book club reading). What are your recommendations and boosts?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Emma - welcome to Imzy!!
I'm kind of getting to be the same way; a book a month is a nice idea, but it can get a little expensive and I can't always keep up.
/lets_grab_coffee just started The Handmaid's Tale and they read/discuss one chapter per week.
Might as well boost myself: I'm starting The Light between Oceans by M.L. Stedman on Thursday and hopefully will get a couple people on Imzy reading/discussing with me. I expect to go at a relatively slow pace.
For me, this is likely how I will form reading circles going forward; just telling people what I'm starting, and hope others will want to participate.
Good luck!
Yes, I saw the Handmaiden's Tale one. I have a big deadline coming up soon but I thought I might try to catch up with them once I'm done with that.
I've not heard of The Light Between the Oceans. Do you plan to keep your discussions of it in this community?
Yup - so long as @Eliza and @Thomas don't mind me making discussion posts?
If they did mind (totally ok), I would take the discussion to my personal community /bad_wolf
Good to know!
I still haven't really looked into any of the personal communities. Interesting concept, though not sure if I'd have use of one myself outside my blog.
@Merah make as many discussion posts as you like. The more people discussing in /books the merrier :)
Thanks Thomas!!
