Place to discuss, rec, and generally squee over fan fiction about Steve Rogers and Tony Stark
WiP Update Thread
Authors, where are you in your writing? Give readers an update and ask for feedback, if you want.
Artists, what projects are in the works? What has inspired you? Are you doing inktober? How difficult is it to come up with something each day?
Readers, what stories are you following at the moment?
We all know the rut of being in between actually having something to post or read...come and commiserate!

Someone made the most amazing suggestion about tiny AA!superhusbands and I drew a thing. It's on my to-be-colored list for now.
I'm slowly wading through the writing WIPs. /shakes tiny fist @ bucky characterization / But writing ideas down using pen and paper is helping. I think sometimes as writers, we just need to step back and be simple. A story doesn't have to be deeply complex with three tiers of drama and 50k words to be good, so I'm trying to keep that in mind as I complete chapters.
Omg I love your drawing!!!
My WIP is frustrating me. The original plan was a piece on Steve and Tony reconciling after CW and carrying on their relationship in secret. Some angst, not all that much. At some point this fic has become an angst-fest because hah, reconciliation? Not so fast! Not with these two knuckleheads. Now I'm pushing through a patch of two incredibly stubborn idiots trying to make amends without actually admitting fault. throws hands up
As for reading, my Kindle is still packed with fics and looking at AO3 I'm not going to run out any time soon. The upside to only starting out with this pairing after CW: a whole library to go through.
I really struggle with how to write them post CW that isn't just each of them running on and on trying to explain their side. I think part of that is me wanting to be fair and part of it is that they need to actually have this discussion.
That is definitely one benefit of being new to the fandom! Tons to read.
Yeah as I was writing it became clear that I can't just employ a time skip and say 'aw look they've overcome their divide' because that's hardly believable. At the moment they're having a lot of aborted half-discussions or avoid talking altogether. Sheesh.
I think it's really hard to write a post-CW fic without it becoming an angst-fest because these two have so much to work through and so much to talk about. Two incredibly stubborn idiots trying to make amends without actually admitting fault is a perfect description of them post-CW, sigh. But on the other hand, all the angst makes the happy ending worth it :) I hope the writing gets easier soon, good luck! :DD As for reading material, you're definitely not running out anytime soon, yess :)
I'm not sure I can manage a happy ending on this. I think that might require 50k words I'm not prepared to write lol. But hopeful ending, I'm definitely going for!
Hopeful ending sounds great haha :D Can't wait to read it when you're finished <3 And yeah, I think a post-CW happy ending would take like 100k, the boys are just too stubborn and complicated (but that's part of why we love them) hands them a get-along shirt
