I had a job where it was a struggle not to eat at my desk because it was just so busy, all the time. Especially at month end. I think I had it easier than most in my department though because I ended up at a desk without a phone (the business was rapidly expanding and ran out of phone lines) , so I didn't have to worry about missing calls over the lunch hour.
Then I had another job that enforced lunch breaks away from the desks, and the only thing you were allowed to have at the desk was water in an unspillable bottle.
Yeah, I can't remember the last time I ate lunch anywhere but at my desk (or, if I'm working from home, in front of my laptop on the couch).
