Software That Time Forgot: Walt Disney Comic Strip Maker for the Apple IIc

I stumbled upon this when I was trying to find another piece of software I used to have fun with as a kid.

I wish I had examples of the comic strips you could produce with this software.

The big deal when I got THIS was that... I had just gotten a COLOR DOT MATRIX PRINTER!

The Imagewriter II.

(Had to keep an eye on it when it was printing anything: a little jam and it could easily print 60 pages worth of text onto one line. This happened more than a few times when I was trying to print out stories I'd written.)

Load up a color ribbon into this thing and you could print in COLOR.

And this Disney Comic Strip Maker was the software I was going to use to test this function.

I was so thrilled when I got a color printout for the first time. I think you could use this to make banner signs, too -- with the Disney characters and everything. (Since the dot matrix printers used continuous feed paper, banner-signs were all the rage.) I do remember making some Disney banner signs.

Somewhere, there are faded color printouts of Disney comics I created when I was 10 that I must have thought were the height of funny.

Any software or games you have fond memories of playing with growing up?
