Cold Brewing?
Hi all,
Finally got around to joining coffee addict's. My family and I spend close to 600 dollars a month on Starbucks/coffee house cold brews. (La Colombe in DC is great). Looking to possibly cold brew our own coffee with la colombe's beans.
Has anyone ever done this process in a DIY setting? Namely like taking a large cambro's container in a fridge to do the process?
Looking for any help to get this project off the ground and going in the right direction.
Thanks!

I've done my own cheap and effective cold brew at home without any special equipment. My process is pretty straight-forward and works out to be incredibly smooth.
I am actually going to do a small scale batch at these ratios. How strong would this coffee be you think?
It's the strength I like it, but very smooth. The key with Cold Brew is that you can add cold filtered water to water it down if it's too strong.
Hey @Kreius, the best resource I know for cold brewing is the Guide to Cold Brew from the guys at KegOutlet. You can check out the ebook guide here, https://www.kegoutlet.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-cold-brewed-coffee-and-serving-coffee-on-draft.html I've worked with them for a few years and they are very helpful. They also have a podcast with some great tips. Cold brewing La Colombe's beans should make for a tasty coffee, they are great! Cheers! Hope this helps.
thank you. downloaded it, going to read this and do a small batch with RedAntisocial's ratios and see where it goes.
