Throwing Away My Friend's Kid's Drawing
I've got a friend with a little kid -- sweet kid -- she made some chicken-scratch drawings for me. I'm sure they're masterpieces to her parents but for me... I'm ready to toss them. I'm sure that kid has long forgotten that she drew me these things anyway. I feel guilty but... it just doesn't MEAN anything to me and I don't need the clutter.

Don't feel guilty. The nature of objects is fleeting. You appreciated the sentiment and held onto them for a while, but you're under no obligation to keep them forever. (Even the kid's parents know they aren't masterpieces.) And no one's going to show up at your door demanding you produce the crayon whatsit from 2016.
Crayon whatsit from 2014! The kid's growing up to be a bit of a spoiled brat, to be perfectly honest...!
You've had it for two years already? Ha. You're a better person than I. I'd honestly be shocked if your friend thought you'd keep it for that long!
Haha I felt BAD! That kid handed it to me and was all, "I made this for you, Uncle AnonRadarCamryn!" And I was all, "That's so awesome!"
If you appreciate the sentiment, don't feel guilty :) it's about the gift, not the object!
What helps me get rid of things my actual own kid has drawn for me is to take a picture/scan them. That way you still have a copy. It is so hard throwing away small child art! But yeah, you can't keep it all forever.
