What cosplay are you working on right now?
I just finished a Cyclops balaclava (posted here) in time for it to be too warm to wear a wool hat outside, much less inside, so it's time to move on.
I am working on a stealth Cannonball from the Lila Cheney "I Will Steal Your Heart" video. I have goggles and a fabulous Jay & Miles XPlain the Xmen "Nigh invulnerable when blastin" shirt (printed on yellow), so what I still need is a low-key blue and white plaid shirt. Conveniently for me, the Cannonball in the video has brown hair, not blonde as in the comics.

I'm working on a Dark Phoenix inspired ballgown right now. I'm still just working on creating the petticoat but I should be done with that by the end of this weekend and starting on sewing the bodice and skirt soon.
Your Cannonball sounds great! Definitely share pictures when you are done!
That sounds great! What are you making the petticoat out of?
It has a base layer of white satin and I'm attaching three tiers of pretty stiff tulle ruffles to it. Over that will go a tulle over skirt to give it a smoothness and better shaping. I'm wearing it all with a hoopskirt under it for a nice big bell shaped skirt.
Wow, petticoats and a hoopskirt both, that's dedication. I can't stand to do both, it's too annoying. Unless it's really cold or something.
It's all about getting the right silhouette for the gown but it is going to be a pain in my ass especially in a con setting. I think it's going to be worth it though in the appearance of the gown. I hope? :)
What are you doing for the neckline? Are you doing the cutout shape?
Yeah so it's an off the shoulder gown. The Phoenix is built into the neckline (kinda insured by Rachel summers)and the first layer of wings swoop into the sleeves
Wow! I am so looking forward to pictures!
I LOVE Dark Phoenix if you can't tell from my Icon lol I designed my own armored body suit version a couple years ago and still love it. Can't wait to see your dress
Ahhhh thanks! I'm hoping to get some work in on the main dress since I finished up the petticoat part last night
I just finished a "The legend of Wonder Woman" costume for ECCC and I should be finished my Thor costume in time as well.
Ive been having a hard time with the helmet, I want it to be perfect ! armour is not my strong area, but I'm feeling much more comfortable with it.
Post some pictures when you finish your costumes please ! I can't wait to see.
I am working on my first cosplay! This is something that I have wanted to do for 10 years and I have finally decided on the Deadric Prince of Madness himself. Any tips for converting male costumes to female ? Any comfort recommendations for extended wear ?
Well, I always recommend breathable when possible - natural fabrics if you can, extra vent holes if needed for heavy material. Don't do more layers than you need, also, and choose comfortable shoes.
