Lady Carmichael: mock-up complete!
Woohoo! I've finished the mock-up.
You may recall that I had to alter & re-cut the front pieces to make the shoulders match--it worked like a charm! The sleeves set in nicely (well, when I did them right. I matched a notch wrong the first time, and the puffy part was set off at a strange angle. easily fixed thankfully), and the little bit of pulling across the bust is just a bit of dart adjustment.
Pardon the MOST terrible cellphone quality pictures:
And now I'm ripping the bodice appart to use as interlining on the real thing. It's both joyous and bittersweet to disassemble, but it really is the best use for it.
In personal stuff: I've got an ill cat who needs force feeding/fluids, so everything has slowed WAY down. The only thing I expect to complete tonight is ironing and maaaaybe cutting my skirt fabric. I'm still looking ok for my deadline, though.

That looks like it fits so well! I love mock ups too. On most patterns I usually fall actoss 2 or 3 different sizes depending on the measurment so mock ups have become a necessity lol
Also I'm sorry to hear your cat is unwell. Nothing too serious I hope.
Mockups are magic. <3 Nothing would ever fit me without one! I'm really pleased with the makers of this pattern, it's really flexible accommodating "unusual" (there's a rant there that I'll set aside for another day) sizes. But anyway, cheers to the folks at Truly Victorian; great sizing method they've got.
Hunter is feeling a little bit better, still not eating on his own though. Blood work came back as pancreatitis. Still have high hopes for his recovery!
Oh dear, my dog had pancreatitis and he was very unhappy for awhile! But he got better and that's what matters most. I'm sure Hunter will be fine too :)
