Uuuuuuugh
Ok. I'd like to preface this post by saying that aside from sewing I am not a crafty person. I'm just not. And yet. And yet I decided it was a good idea to make armour. I'm not really looking for help per se, more like a kick in the ass to get my motivation back up. Anyways, this is the character I picked. Leo from Fire Emblem Fates.
Ok great. I even found this nice ref sheet that I was workig with:
So I started making a pattern to work with out of poster board and though it needs a few tweeks I thought it was going pretty well thus far:
Obviously it still needs a lot of work and shaping, but this is pretty crafty for me.
And then. Oh and then. I started to play the game again and remembered I could go into the accessory shop and see all of the character models from head to toe in decent detail and I discovered this:
I've been doing the back wrong the whole time, and while I still have time to fix it and it doesn't seem that difficult....uuuuuugh.
I'm sure it'll all have been worth it when I'm finished but I'm very tempted to burn this cosplay to ash and pick a character with a more sensible outfit. HELP MEEEEEEE.

Oh, man, I hate it when I realize I missed something in a reference in the middle of crafting. But you can do it! //waves pompoms//
This is helpful. I can feel my motivation reserves refilling.
Keep going! :) then when you want to burn it to ash it will feel much more satisfying because you know that you can make armour :P
I like the way you think lady
i do too lol
On one hand: you can do it! Play some inspirational music to help you push through!
On the other hand: how many photos are really going to show much detail of the back of your costume anyway?
Tbh probably not that many and I usually dont sweat the small details too much, but something like that will drive me nuts the whole time I wear it if I dont fix it. But the music is a really good idea XD
