Stout! But not Imperial Stouts because they tend to be way too bitter. I like a nice thick stout. And no, Guinness doesn't cut it in the States. In Ireland, Guinness is completely different and is actually good and thick and tasty. Not so in America, where it's watery and bland. Chocolate and Oatmeal stouts are good. Coffee stouts can be good, but are often too bitter for my taste.
Occasionally I'll enjoy a DIPA or TrIPA, because they're sweeter than a normal IPA.
I'm partial to stouts as well, but I never realized Guinness was different in the states. I don't suppose you know how I can try the authentic version without taking vacation time?
I prefer less hoppy beers, so I usually stick to heffs and pilsners.
I love too many to list so I'll just say I have yet to discover an ISA or Sour that I actually like.
A farmhouse is never bad idea.
Quads. Just love a good quad. Stone fruit, caramel. So rich! Then I guess I'd be barleywines.
Go lower in abv and I gravitate towards hoppy beers because I like to balance the palate since v quads can be sweet.

I'm also always up for a good sour.
