    One of my friends keeps trying to tell me there is going to be a brewery crash. I point out that there are far more bars then there are breweries. As long as most breweries are not trying to have large distribution, then I see no reason why a much larger amount of breweries and brew pubs can not exist. I would not be upset if most bars also had at least one of their own brews and a small amount of taps from other local breweries.

      I agree. There will be a shakeout of sorts, but you're right. Beer consumers are becoming much more interested in local brews. Your bar analogy is perfect - I live in Green Bay and I've never seen a higher concentration of bars anywhere, along with a very strong local/brewpub scene.
