What did you achieve today? What did you do that made you say "Wow, today was awesome"?
Little Imzy things that make you happy
I'm really fond of the staff and how open they are to suggestion, even if fandom can be a bit overwhelming at first (you ask what they want and they give you a 30+ pages Gdoc whoops).
I'm also liking a few communities, such as /confessional, /strangers, /polls and /truecrime.
What communities are you following on Imzy and how are you liking the site so far?

I really like Imzy, I'm having problems closing it to go to sleep LOL. Some of my favorite communities are /airport, /canon_recs, /femslash_frivolity, /forever_tv, /thegloryhole, /readers_of_rivers, /shipmanifesto, /shortfilm_watchalong.
As for today's accomplishment: I downloaded some interesting M/M books, thanks to that post on /mm_library.
I can post my fanfic on my blog and it looks great and doesn't even need a LJ cut and I don't have the pressure of posting to the big Archive where I'm exposed to millions of eyes. I'm having conversations! I'm seeing fannish things! And fannish friends! I'M SO HAPPY!
/cranky_old_fangirls, /fandom_dealer, /fanfiction, /twinpeaks, /writers
/cranky_old_fangirls sounds delightful! I'm joining right now. XD
I like playing with Imzy's CSS to make the site readable. (I'm not kidding, it makes me happy that the site has inspired me to play around with things I haven't touched in a long time.)
I'm really enjoying myself; even with the relatively slow traffic so far (beta!), it's nice to feel like I can maybe talk to people again.
Some of the comms I'm partial to so far are /fantasy, /worldbuilding, /write_now, /100words, /dungeons_dragons, and /final_fantasy ...
I feel the same way. On tumblr I always felt so exposed, like in order to talk to anyone I had to get out into the middle of a crowded street and shout at them through a megaphone while everyone around me might be pointing a camera at me and proceed to pass my words around to people and places they were never meant for.
Here on Imzy, I finally feel like I can sit down in my friends' living rooms and just have a quiet, relaxed conversation again.
And I'm following /100words as well! I missed weekly prompt comms too. My fanfic output decreased dramatically when all my favorite ones on LJ died out. I'm also keeping a lookout for an [X]500 comm.
My other personal favorites are /femslash_frivolity and /fandom_calendar. So helpful.
An [X]500 comm? I'm not sure I know what that is/was ...? :o
Ah, sorry. A weekly fic prompt comm where you aimed for roughly 500 words, but with no strict word limit like /100words has. My favorites were the ones where the "500" was basically just an indicator for how low-pressure the weekly "goal" was. One week you may have written a 250-word ficlet, and the next your fic ballooned out to 2500 words instead.
And with the [X] I meant that there were a lot of comms like that for specific fandoms, like lotr500, or hp500, or bleach500. Though since Imzy is still such a baby site, a panfandom one might work better at this point in time.
...I should go ask if anyone on FFA feels up to starting this. I'm out of slots for the next 29 days.
Aah! I get it now :3 Thank ye! And that's an interesting idea, also.
