Claim: A 1922 New York Times article reported that Adolf Hitler "was merely using anti-Semitic propaganda as a bait to catch masses of followers". Origin:On 10 February 2015, the New York Times re-released the first article they ever published about Adolf Hitler, who was then the chairman of the Nazi party.

    I reread the entire article from 1922 yesterday. It's here if anyone else wants to read it in its entirety. It also talks about how his socialism is nothing of the sort. It says he has been called the Bavarian Mussolini. It's really quite chilling to read.
